The Central Building – 332 Main Street
Built in 1925, the Central Building is a eight-story, brick and limestone building of classical design. The first two stories contain metal storefronts, embossed with a variety of classical motifs. There is a jazz club, a jeweler and other shops located in the building’s storefronts.
It is serviced by 3 passenger elevators and has a daycare and rooftop playground within the building.
This building is on the local historic register and is across the street from The Chamber of Commerce and Mechanics Hall.

BUILDING HIGHLIGHTS:
Built in 1925 the “Central Building” is a seven story, steel frame structure faced with dressed limestone. Among the last major office blocks built in the downtown before the Great Depression, the Central building is a well-preserved example of its period.
